Jack Jones has pleaded not guilty to gun charges at a court appearance in Boston on Tuesday.

The New England Patriots cornerback, 25, was arrested on Friday evening at Boston's Logan Airport after two guns were found inside carry-on luggage, Massachusetts State Police said.

But he has posted $30,000 for bail and his next court case will be August 18.

'All Mr. Jones wants to do is play football,' his lawyer, Rosemary C. Scapicchio, said according to Boston Globe.

'He doesn't want to be a distraction at all. He had no intention of bringing any guns onto an airport that day and I expect that the evidence is going to show that he had no knowledge of what was going on.'
